Common Grounds Coffeehouse
In his May 12 Common Grounds Coffeehouse Concert at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta, Rob Foster will take the audience on an journey through many diverse musical worlds utilizing an assortment of woodwind instruments including the shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument), and a mixture of flutes and saxophones. Joining Rob will be a number of outstanding musicians including: Josef Patchen, piano; Deveran Roof, acoustic and electric bass and ehru; and Curtis Carver, drums and percussion. A variety of hot and cold beverages, including Fair Trade coffees and tea, and numerous dessert items will be available at a small charge. Patrons can also take home a variety of Fair Trade products for their own use or for gifts. Information about Fair Trade will also be distributed.
