Holiday Alternative Gift Sale
An alternative gift fair featuring fair trade gifts from around the world, including coffee and chocolate, as well as crafts, jewelry, toys, and more. Also on sale will be homemade and DIY goods, eco-friendly products, and chances to donate to social-justice organizations. All proceeds go to a good cause! There will be music, free chocolate samples, Dav catering, a photo exhibit from Alt Break Guatemala and other fun things to do. Besides Sunday, we also have the MGC lobby tables reserved for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 12 to 4, to sell any left-overs. Organizations taking part: - Fair Trade Student Association: goods from World of Good, Servv and coffee - Peace and Empowerment Project: same - Radical Feminist and Gender Club: selling zines, sewn goods, and other handicrafts. - Eco-Sense: mugs, collapsible cups, and home-made clocks - Alt Break Guatemala: A photo exhibit and some possible fundraising/donating opportunities. - The Culture Shop: April Thompson will be selling FT dried mangoes * We also will have a computer set up for Alternative Gifts – set to Oxfam America's Unwrapped web site
