Event: | Ghanian Cocoa Farmer comes to Amherst, MA February 13th - Noon-2pm - Tabella Restaurant, Amherst, Massachusetts - A Media reception for the farmer, Cecilia Appianim, from the Ghana Cocoa Cooperative that holds a 40% share of Divine Chocolate. The CEO and/or the marketing director will also be there. Others attending will be local Farmers, Amherst Town Officials, Massachusetts State Representatives, media, business owners and other community members interested in Fair Trade. Cheese and finger foods will be prepared and served by Tabella restaurant (which serves FT coffee and Tea) along with a Fair Trade Chocolate desert with Coco provided by Divine. The Pierce Brothers, a local Fair Trade coffee Roaster will donate coffee and tea.
February 13th - 7:30pm - Presentation by Cecilia at Amherst College, Pruyne lecture hall (rm 115) room in the Fayerweather building
February 14th - Between 8am and 9am. Cecilia and a representative from Amherst Fair Trade Partnership will be on the Collins/Vannah radio show, a popular news and public affairs program on WHMP 1600am. We will also be making listeners aware of an event happening at Smith college, College Campus Center lower level room lounge 205, with Cecilia at noon time that day.
