Watch this short video and see the action with your own eyes!

Fair Traders from coast to coast celebrated World Fair Trade Day (WFTDay) on May 10, 2008 by raising a mug/cup/glass to Fair Trade. Together they set the record for the World’s Largest Fair Trade Coffee Break, with 12,158 people participating in this history-making event.  More than 200 community events took place in towns and cities across the country to celebrate WFTDay (celebrated the second Saturday in May) and Fair Trade Fortnight (the two weeks surrounding WFTDay, May 3-18).

Already, Fair Traders in other countries have vowed to break the record in coming years.   Fair Trade Resource Network and Fair Trade Towns USA coordinated this year’s Fair Trade Breaks.  Click here to learn more. Cheers everyone!
